| For the sports enthusiast,
there are many excellent golf courses in the area Santa
Maria is located in Elviria & there are several
more nearby. There are a host of water sports on the
Costa Del Sol's many magnificent beaches as well as
the Mijas horse racing stadium which has recently opened.
By car, the famous Puerto Banus, with its stylish Marina,
restaurants and nightlife is 10 minutes along the coast
to the west, also Gibraltar with it's English shops
& duty free status, Seville and even North Africa
within reach. While 2 hours in the opposite direction
will take you to the Sierra Nevada's where winter sports
can be enjoyed at a fraction of the cost of traditional
European resorts. |
